He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli R. Gerber and Rose E. Gerber (Schwartz); his wife Dorothy A. Moser; his great great grandchild Faith Marie Kaehr; and his siblings, Wendell, Robert, Victor Gerber, Audrey Paxson and Lucille Steffen-Clark.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Pfister (Al) of Bluffton, Rachel Isch (Jim) of Bluffton and Vincent Gerber (Susan) of Craigville; his brother Tillman Gerber (Betty) of Bluffton; and his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Gerber of Bluffton and Julia Gerber of Bluffton. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of floral gifts and tributes, memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Care Good Samaritan Fund or Heartland Hospice.
