He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonso B. Garrett and Frances E. W. Garrett (Shafer); and his siblings, Frank, Robert, William "Bill", Richard "Dick" Garrett, Betty Lou Garrett, Suzanne Commers and Betsy N. Noe.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce A. (Dillon); and his sons, Scott Garrett (Lee Ann) of Warren, Tim Garrett (Deb) of Bluffton and Brett Garrett (Jodi) of Noblesville, IN.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.
