He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard V. Smiley and Rosetta J. Smiley (Earhart); and his siblings, Steve and Darla. He is survived by: his wife Nancy of Bluffton; and his children, Charlie Smiley (Sherri) of Zanesville, Ernie Smiley of Bluffton and Sarah Ball (Pastor Wayne) of Bluffton.
Memorials may be made to the Wells County 4-H Program for the Cattle, Hog & Sheep Barns, or River of Life Community Church, and can be directed to the funeral home.
