He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger D. Mertz Sr. and Betty Margarett Booher (Foreman); and his sister Pamala Jean Mertz. He is survived by: his sisters, Lana Zoll (Scott) of Liberty Center, IN., Brenda S. Barkdull of Bluffton and Jenina Penrod of Broken Arrow, OK.. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel (3220 IN-124 #90, Bluffton, IN 46714). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Marion National Cemetery (1700 E 38th St, Marion, IN 46953).
Memorials in Roger's memory can be made to the American Legion Post 111 of Bluffton.
