He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Uptgraft and Elizabeth Uptgraft (Lash); and his brothers, William "Bill" and Jack W. Uptgraft. He is survived by: his wife Dolores D. "Dee" (Smethurst); and his sons, David Uptgraft (Kristina) of Ossian and Mike Uptgraft (Cindy) of Bluffton. He is also survived by four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
