He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Fiechter and Lucinda Fiechter (Baumgartner); his wife Bernice L. Frauhiger; his son Robert Leon Fiechter; his great grandchild Marissa Frauhiger; and his siblings, Melvin Fiechter, Homer Fiechter, Raymond Fiechter, Gladys Maller, Devona Gerber and Ellen Stoller.
He is survived by: his children, Dean Fiechter (Cyndee) of Bluffton and Kay Steffen (Keith) of Bluffton; his siblings, Wayne Fiechter (Dorothy) of Bluffton and Justine Gerber of Bluffton; and his grandchildren, Lindsay Zimmer (Brad), Landon Fiechter, Leah Jones (Zach), Janelle Frauhiger (Jesse), Ryan Steffen (Jamy) and Jenna Frauhiger (Travis). He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
