He is survived by: his children, Jill Mathews (Jim), Ray Spires and Ric Spires (Stephanie); his grandchildren, MeriEllen Fleener, Dru Spires (Donna), Madalynn Flynn (Cullen) and Tye Spires (Malerie); and his great grandchildren, Vivian Fleener, Lorelei Spires and Emma Spires.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Funeral Chapel and Crematory of Powell (3000 E 3rd St, Bloomington, IN 47401). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Valhalla Memory Gardens (310 N Johnson Ave, Bloomington, IN 47404).
