She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman John Scott and Mellie "Myrl" Scott (Lucas); her spouse Aurand Merida, Jr.; her sister Cleo Ward (Aurand Merida, Jr.); and her daughter Brenda Merida.

She is survived by: her siblings, Ron Scott (Patty) of Bloomington and Kathy Dyer (Carl) of Bloomington; her granddaughter Teresa Simonson (Nathan); and her great grandchild Joshua of Boerne, Texas..

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Clear Creek Cemetery.
