He was predeceased by: his parents, John David and Mahala Hopper Dorsett; his wife Brenda Dorsett (Wood); his daughter Kimberly Dorsett; and his siblings, William Harrison Dorsett, Louis Edward Dorsett, Lula Mahala Weidman Dorsett, George Washington Dorsett, Eunice Alta Weidman, David Howard Dorsett, Elijah Glenn Dorsett, Virgil Kenneth Dorsett, Charles Wesley Dorsett and Mary Louise Dorsett Clements.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Kelp and Leslie Abel (Kelly); his grandchildren, Tyler Abel (Christy), Kaci Abel (Max), Jonathon "Zach" Kelp, Mallory Evans (Sam), Jordan Evans (Erica), McKayla Luckey (Tracey), Addyson Kelp and Charles Abel (Cami); and his great grandchildren, Mady Morrow, Logan Morrow, Hannah Abel, Bella Abel, Jackson Abel, Zayden Giger-Kelp, Blaine Minton, Axel Shepherd, Myles H. Kelp, William "Levi" Kelp, Connor Kelp-Wilhite, van der Klaauw and Colten Hinkle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northside Christian Church or Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Indiana.
