He was predeceased by: his parents, Elyet Kerr and Bessie Kerr (Hawkins); his siblings, Hanson June Trecha and Sue Weddle; his former wife Peggy Sue Boruff; his wife Nancy Cutsinger; and his grandchildren, Sarah June Kerr, Griffin Lee Kerr and Avery Salyers.
He is survived by: his brothers, Frank Kerr, Ralph Kerr and Charles Robert Kerr; his children, John Alec (Cathy), Jeanna Sexton (John), Julia, Jeffrey (Becky), Dana (Laticia) and Jason (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Isaac, Anna Kerr, Jessica (Jesse), Cameron Sexton, Joshua Wathen, Amanda Prather (Tyler), Laura Bush (Ryan), Tiffany Kerr-Redlinger (Aaron), Garrett Kerr, John Kerr (Samantha), Rebekah Bauer (Jacob), Elizabeth Salyers (Alexander), Jonah Hotz-Kerr and Jaxon Kerr; his stepdaughters, Jill Riley (Mike) and Teresa Mathis; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Grant Riley, Jennifer and Chris Mathis.
