He is survived by: his wife Jo Nell; his children, Michael Keith Newcomb (Cora) and Melissa Jo Dewar (Troy); his grandchildren, Sarah Kathryn Dewar and Evan Troy Dewar; his sister Wilda Jean Stephens (Marshall); his nieces and nephews, Byron, Stanley and Kay; his sister Mary Annette Hunt Morton; his brother-in-law James Clayton Hunt (Pam); and also Pam Newcomb Stogner. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rosehill Cemetery (1300 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303).
