He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Hardy and Vada Hardy (Back); his wife Barbara Hardy (Ward); and his siblings, John Roger Hardy, Betty Jean Chambers and Marjorie Ann Butcher.
He is survived by: his sisters, Ruth Griggs and Joan Long; his daughter Judy Deckard; his grandchildren, Jalane Deckard and Johnny Deckard (Michaela); and his great grandchildren, Hugh and Elliot Deckard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Monroe County Humane Association.
