He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Tarter and Lola Tarter (Webb); his sister Kay; and his niece Carla. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Tarter (Smith); his children, Christine Wade (Jason) and Gary Tarter (Jennifer); his stepchildren, Melanie Mitchell and Mike Mitchell; his grandchildren, Marisa Fidler (Tilden), Connor Felton and McKenna Raventos (Braxton); and his great grandchildren, Camden, Ellie Fidler, Axel and Isla Raventos.
Gary would have liked for donations to be made to the Monroe County Animal Shelter, or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
