She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas M. Backes and Ida M. Backes; and her husband Roy L. Hughes. She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Finkbeiner (Richard M.) of Paradise Valley, AZ and Victoria Flint (Richard W.) of Bloomington, IN.; and her grandchildren, Amy Holt (Rob), Brad Finkbeiner (Robyn), Jessica Bess (Jonathan) and Ross Flint (Julie).
