She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Gates and Roberta G. Gates (Laymon); her husband Charles M. Walker; and her brothers-in-law, James Richard "Dick" Rice and Shelton Rice.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Lee Walker (Wendy), Clyde Edward Walker (Annie) and Cindy McHaley (Al); and her siblings, Mary Rice, JoAnn Rice and Paul Gates (Sue). She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
