She was predeceased by: her father Robert Burks; and her brother Bobby Burks. She is survived by: her son Jerry Sturgeon (Carol); her grandchildren, Jade and Hunter Sturgeon; her great grandchild Sage; her mother Francis Reynolds; her sister Susie Hood (Jerry); her sisters-in-law, Nancy Robertson and Carol Hawkins (Bill); and also Clarence "Eddie" Sturgeon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Funeral Chapel and Crematory of Powell (3000 E 3rd St, Bloomington, IN 47401). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at the Valhalla Memory Gardens (310 N Johnson Ave, Bloomington, IN 47404).
