She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Rice and Betty Rice (Ramsey); her granddaughter Sarah June Kerr; her great grandchild Avery Salyers; and her sister Shelley Lynn Rice.
She is survived by: her husband Paul E. Hazel Jr.; her children, Paul E. Hazel III (Susan), Laticia E. Kerr (Dana) and Matthew R. Hazel (Beth); her grandchildren, John Robert Kerr (Samantha), Rebekah Bauer (Jacob), Elizabeth Salyers (Alexander), Matthew Cooper (Vanessa), Mason Hazel (Cassidy), Paul Hazel IV, Brandon Welty (Abby) and Tyler Welty; and her great grandchildren, Liam Kerr, Ivy Kerr, Blair Bauer, Beau Salyers, Lydia Cooper, Walker Cooper, Charlie Cooper, Emberlee Hazel, Hallee Hazel and Berklee Hazel.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Chapel and Crematory of Powell (3000 E 3rd St, Bloomington, IN 47401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Claudia's memory to the St. Paul United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
