It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andy S. Hipskind of Bloomington, Indiana, who passed away on September 18, 2021, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Anthony, Ruth Sundy, Howard and June Hipskind; and his uncle Michael Montgomery.

He is survived by: his parents, Nicholas Hipskind and Sandra Hipskind; his wife Angela; his children, Charlize and Drew; his sisters, Heidi Dolson Bloomington (Scott) and Nicole Huff Greenwood (Joe); his parents-in-law, Terry and Susan Mason of Baconton, GA; his siblings-in-law, Vikie Lajonvarn (Grant), Robin Keller South Bend (Bill) and Ryan Mason (Jami); his nieces and nephews, Luke, Sam, Zach WIsen, Nick Dolson, Liam, Cole, Bo Huff, Alexander, William Lajonvarn, Gavin, Travis Hall, Kristen Dolson, Ellie and Scarlett Mason; his aunts, Barbara Winter and Sara Montgomery; and his cousins, Amy Winter, Kim Kesler, Barry (Shelly), David and Ann Montgomery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks you consider a donation to the Dr. Andy S. Hipskind Memorial Fund in care of the Indiana University Credit Union.

“To Angela, his children, his parents and extended family. I wish you nothing but pride and peace and knowing that Andy was one in a million! I had a short year to know him and work with him. He made an impact on me and when I was asked to vouch for Andy’s character and training when he interviewed for his job at IU after fellowship, I did so with pride and confidence that he would do well in his first job out of training. Andy is an alumni of my old program, and I can not be prouder of everything he accomplished. If you ever would like to call me.”
