He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sue Ann Garrard Woody; his children, Michael (Angela) of Rockville, Joseph (Cheryl) of Montezuma and Marianne (Joe Inge) of Bloomingdale; his siblings, John Edgar (Deloris) of Rockville, Sarah Jean of Bloomingdale and Martha Janet (Daniel Scott) of Evansville; his grandchildren, Michelle Lewis (Ty), Michael Wray Woody (Nikki), Mallory Valentine (Kye) and Alexandria Marie Woody; his sister Mary Joan Myers; his parent Lawrence (Ralph Jordan); his son Springfield; his nephews, Bob, Steve, Bill Myers and John-Michael Woody; his friends, Tommy Waldridge, Norman Jones, Bill Hall and Floyd Harper; his father-in-law Grandpa Wilfred Garrard; his cousin Stevie Waite; and also, Ralph Jordan, Mike, Joey and Sue. He was also cherished by 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
