Lowell P. Childers Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lowell P. Childers of Bloomfield, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Abijah Childers and Gertrude Childers (Bird); his wife Mildred Joan Childers; his son Joel Paul Childers; his stepson David Joe Achors; his granddaughter Paula Jo Childers; and his brothers, Henry, Denver, Robert, Charles and Elmer Childers.
He is survived by: his children, Noel D. Childers of Bloomfield and Sharon K. Childers-Wiles of Bloomfield; his daughter-in-law Lynn Childers Lampman (Steve); his stepchildren, Charlotte Kroening (John) of Trafalgar, Brenda Strange of Bloomfield and James Achors (Diana) of Bloomfield; and his brother Jack Childers (Viola Hall) of Buelaville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lester Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home Inc. - Bloomfield (421 S Seminary St, Bloomfield, IN 47424). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Glenburn Nursing Home.
