He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhart K. Verseman and Martha Jane Veatch (Burcham); his stepsister Debbie Gentry; and his niece Miranda Fletcher. He is survived by: his wife Judy Verseman; his sons, David Hardin and Gary W. Verseman; his siblings, Bill Verseman (Cindy), Jim Verseman (Kathy), Mary Beth Baldridge (Mike) and Dwayne Verseman (Barb); his stepsiblings, Kim Veatch, Ron Veatch and John Veatch (Carol); and his grandchildren, Nakia Hardin and Savhanna Hardin.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Switz City Cemetery in Gary's name.
