He is survived by: his children, Scott Helms (Tami) and DeDe Cook (Tim); his grandchildren, Brant Cook (Stacy Nifong), Brady Helms (Riley), Britton Helms (Lexi) and Brooks Helms; and his sister Jeanette Gambill.
