He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Vest and Lillian Hall (Flynn); his wife Vera Vest; his brother William "Bill" Vest; and his stepfather Curt Hall.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles L. "Sonny" Vest and Michael Vest (Kim); his grandchildren, Lesley Holland (James), Stacy Lowry (Chad), Amy Fulbright (Curt), Jeremy Vest (Brandy), Megan Toon (Dan Raines), Abby Vest and Jordan Vest (Steve Rollins); his great grandchildren, Gage Lowry, Gracie Lowry, Darrius Philpott, Chloe Toon, Liam Fulbright, Katie Fulbright and Chase Wiles; his sister Lydia Hamilton; and his sister-in-law Wilma Mowery (Jerry).
The family wishes in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to IU Health Hospice or Walnut Grove Cemetery.
