It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura S. Mathews of Bicknell, Indiana, who passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Erwin Forbes and Alma Brennecke Forbes; her children, Diane Pahmeier and Jessie Mathews; and her siblings, Glen Forbes, Vernon Forbes, Delbert Forbes, James Forbes, Larry Forbes, Edna Stogbauer, Alma Houck and Rosemary Brochin.
She is survived by: her husband Jessie Mathews; her children, Robert "Bob" Getchell of Oaktown, IN, Ralph Getchell (Debbie) of Edwardsport, IN, Jeanne Hoffman (Dewayne) of Indianapolis, IN and Janet Deuber (Michael) of Palmyra, IN; her son-in-law Arthur Pahmeier of Westphalia, IN.; and her sister Suzi Jeffery of Juneau, WI.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren.
