He was predeceased by: his parents, William Benedict and Ellen Ethel Benedict (Barnes); his stepfather Eldon Snellenberger (Ham); his daughter Nancy Benedict; and his siblings, Lou Edith Hedrick, Eunice Hill and Billy Jo Benedict.
He is survived by: his wife Eldina Benedict; his children, Carole Albrecht (Bill) of Bicknell and Buddy Benedict (Cheryl) of Evansville; his siblings, Lynn Mundy (Gary), Lora Carlisle (Gib) and David Snellenberger (Linda); his grandchildren, Jeff Albrecht (Tara), Amy Hurt (Justin) and Jonathon Benedict (Cassie); his great grandchildren, Wade, Jovi Albrecht and Cora Hurt; and his son McClure-Utt.
