He is survived by: his parents, Frank Coats and Debbie Messel (Randy) of Bicknell; his children, Lillian and Matthew Coats of Fort Branch; his sister Sara Lemons (Carl) of Vincennes; and his nephews, Caleb Lemons (Sydney) of Vincennes and Camden Lemons of Terre Haute.
