She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyrus Steiner and Amanda Steiner (Breauchy); her spouse Ferris A. Mertz; her siblings, Victor Steiner, Ernest Steiner, Jarvis Steiner and Marcella Huether; and her sons-in-law, Dean Von Gunten and Gerald Moser.
She is survived by: her children, Rosalyn "Jean" Moser of Kokomo, Marcia Cressman (Jamie) of Berne, Indiana, Janet Lehman (Troy) of Berne, Indiana and Michael Mertz (Sandy) of Geneva, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Tamara Brier (Mike), Michelle Moser, Lisa Brotherton (Andy), Karla Lipscomb (Jeremiah), Jennifer Will (Matt), Jaime Beitler (Kraig), Kelly Pence (Aaron), Eric Lehman, Ken Lehman (Allie) and Kristi Cressman (Dustin). She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
