He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger H. Beard and Orvena L. Beard (Biberstein); his wife Joyce C. Moser; and his son John Allen Beard. He is survived by: his children, Teri Hogg (Ken) of Decatur and Jim Beard (Sondra) of Fort Wayne, Ind.; his siblings, Richard Beard of Muncie, Ind., Marilyn Augsburger of Poplar Grove and Judy Jones of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Joshua Hogg (Catalina), Chrystal Went (Cole) and Colin Beard (Taylor); and his great grandchildren, Liam Went and Archer Hogg.
Preferred memorials are to the Swiss Village Samaritan Fund.
