Jeffery S. Atkinson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffery S. Atkinson of Berne, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 31, 2025 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry D. Atkinson and Lucy K. Atkinson (Smith); and his stepson Rhett Butler. He is survived by: his wife Carrie Atkinson of Berne, IN; his son Scott Atkinson of Decatur, IN; his stepchildren, Tyler Butler (Joy) of Tennessee, Samantha Koch (Tim) of Howe, IN and Teah Stevens (Anthany) of Decatur, IN; his sisters, Michelle Parrish (Ben) of Decatur, IN and Alissa Mountz (Shane) of Monroe, IN; and his grandchildren, Lily, Daizy, Bellarose, Zay and Luella.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home (225 Adams St, Decatur, IN 46733). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
