She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Nussbaum and Emma Nussbaum (Habegger); and her siblings, Truman Nussbaum and Verna Sprunger. She is survived by: her husband Rev. Roger Bixler of Berne, Indiana; her daughters, Brenda Ruse (Pastor Ron) of Truro, Jill Jones (Pastor William) of New York City and Karen Austin (Pastor Matt) of Stevens, Pennsylvania; and her grandchildren, Laura, David, Krista, Alaina, Lynette, Bill, Garrett, Brad, Cherie, Jennifer and Kate. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Swiss Village Chapel (1350 W Main St, Berne, IN 46711). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
Preferred memorials are to Swiss Village Samaritan Fund or Gospel Fellowship Association Mission.
