He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Spade and Elizabeth Spade (Ebnit); his wife Jean C. Gerber; his daughter Kimberly Renae; his brother Ronald G. Spade; and his siblings-in-law, Nolan Koons and Annette Koons.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Spade (Laura) of Decatur, Indiana, Karla Gilson (Bill) of Berne and Lori Dike (Mike) of Evansville, Indiana; his grandchildren, Andrew Spade (Stefanie), Stephanie Lengerich (Alex), Taylor Schenk, Billy Gilson, Zachary Gilson, Gabrielle Gilson (Abby) and Garrett Dike; and his great grandchildren, Addison Lengerich, Trey Lengerich, Jaxson Lengerich, Emmett Gilson and Oliver Goetz.
