He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis J. Smitley (Garboden); his parents, Ralph Smitley and Alta Smitley (Yaney); and his daughter Janice Miller. He is survived by: his children, Rodney Smitley (Armetta) of Saint Louis, MO. and Carol A. Tonak (Gerald); his son-in-law David Miller of Geneva, IN.; and his sister Margie Andrews of Berne, IN.. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren.
