He was predeceased by: his parents, Dillie Vaughan and Charles Stevens, Sr.; his wife Alice Habegger (Schug) of Berne; his sons, Charles III and Robert; and his granddaughter Angie (William).
He is survived by: his stepgreat-granddaughter Rosie; his son William; and his stepchildren, Steve Habegger (Nan) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Jane Summers (Bob) of Berne, Indiana and Carol Counsell (Steve) of Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also survived by eight step-grandchildren and sixteen step-great-grandchildren.
