He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alice Piechuta and Herman; his former wife Judy Leth; his wife Judith Dabbs of Berne; his stepsons, Michael Hicks (Diane) of Ohio, Ronald Hicks of Oklahoma, Robert Hicks of Illinois and Jason Hicks of Illinois; his daughter Rebecca Blanton of Berne; his grandson Joshua Blanton of Berne; and his half-siblings, Tom Ashley and Debbie Malinowski. He was also cherished by eight step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren.
