He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul E. Liechty and Sarah Anna Liechty (Felber); his wife Ruth Mary Lehman; his grandson Nicholas Liechty; and his brother Vernon Liechty.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Zehr (Brock) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Tom Liechty of Decatur, Indiana, Rick Liechty (June) of Berne, Indiana and Jeff Liechty (Cheryl) of Berne, Indiana; and his sister Barbara Liechty of Berne, Indiana. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
