He was predeceased by: his parents, Birthel Dynes and Katie Dynes (Kneuss); his wife Shirley Dynes; and his siblings, Sylvia Fry, Selma Sheffer (Barnett), Frances Shepherd, Lawrence Dynes and George Dynes.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Dynes (Mary Ann) of Berne, Indiana and Linda Schwartz (Doug) of Berne, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Kelsey Sallee (James), Nicole Dynes, Turner Schwartz and Michael Dynes.
In lieu of flowers, Gene's family would recommend memorials be given to the First Missionary Church Mission Fund or Forgotten Children Worldwide in Bluffton, Indiana.
