William Edward Pettit Obituary
William Edward Pettit (Eddie) age 67, passed away unexpectedly on May 2, 2022, at his residence in Beech Grove Indiana after a sudden battle with cancer of the esophagus.
Eddie was born October 8, 1954, in Madison, IN., the son of late George and Lorena Rowlett Fisher. He spent much time as a child with his late grandparents Ernest and Ellen McCutchen Rowlett in Bedford, KY.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Ernest and Ellen Rowlett, his parents George and Lorena Fisher, his uncle & aunt Cleston and Bonnie Rowlett, his uncle; Leonard Fisher, his brother in law; Frank Crawford & a niece; Alicia Reifer.
Surviving are his sisters, Marcella Crawford of Madison, IN., Delores Hensley and her husband, Bronson of Deputy, IN., Wanda Lewis of Madison, IN. His Brothers; Gary Cope of Indianapolis, IN., Eugene Rowlett of Indianapolis, IN., George Fisher, Jr., and his wife; Diane of Madison, IN., several cousins, nieces & nephews.
Eddie worked for many years at Carter-Lee Lumber. He continued in construction where he specialized in unique woodworking. He loved the beauty in old & new wood and could point out any flaws, build & fix anything. During his retirement he enjoyed flea markets, walking in the woods finding edible berries & greens, old guns, relaxing with his friends, long walks, visiting his family on the Ohio River and going back to the Old Homestead reminiscing of his past. Eddie had many that loved him. He will be remembered by the love and kindness that he showed all.
The family is planning a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
