She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Lemons and Frances Lemons; her husband James A. Brooks; her daughter Linda Graves; her son-in-law Ronnie Graves; her brother Claude "Bud" Lemons; and her great grandchild Jacob Hazelwood.

She is survived by: her son Allen Brooks (Cheryl); her brother Bill Lemons (Theresa); and her grandchildren, Amanda Hazelwood (Chris), Chris Graves (Karen), Jessica Willsey, Joann Stout (Kevin), Jason Miller (Sarah) and Joshua Graves (Paige).
