He is survived by: his children, Robert L. Roell Jr. (Jenny Roell), Charles E. Roell Sr. (Kil Kim), David P. Roell (Faith Roell), Deborah J. Harney, Christine M. Beck (Benjamin Sipes), James K. Roell (Fazlia Roell-Adam), Laura L. Terry (William Terry Jr.) and Cynthia L. Tyler (Jonathon Tyler). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
