We are sad to announce that on February 12, 2022, at the age of 88, Loretta Jean Schafer of Beech Grove, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Striby and Ida Striby; her husband Ralph Schafer; and her siblings, Mary, Joseph, Karl, Frank, Henry Striby and Margaret Breen.

She is survived by: her children, Joseph Schafer, Ann Schubach (Tim), Tony Schafer (Carrie), Paul Schafer and Jean Goodwin; her grandchildren, Kathryn Gosnell, Ashley Goodwin Calaway, Crystal McFarland (Bobby), Johnathan Goodwin, Andrea Buergler (Daniel), Adam Schubach (Rachel), Joseph Schubach, Noah Schafer, Mary Schafer, Michael Schafer, Elizabeth Schafer and Aubrey Schafer; and her sisters, Julia Jones and Barbara Carr (Don). She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
