He was predeceased by: his brother Gene Coleman; and his parents, Mildred and James Sr. (Janet). He is survived by: his sons, James Coleman III (Danielle) and Jonathan Coleman (Coye Lloyd); his grandchildren, Maggie Coleman, Olivia Coleman and Grant Coleman; and his brother Dan Coleman.
