He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Kopp and Juanita Kopp (Hawkins); his sister Carole Diane Allen; and his father-in-law Glen Turner. He is survived by: his spouse Darlene K. Turner; his children, David W. Kopp and Missy Shelton (Scott) of Bedford; his grandchildren, Jordan Fleetwood (Whitney), Logan Kopp, Kinnon Kopp (Tabi), Ryan Shelton (Stevie), Alyssa Shelton and Katie Shelton (Cameron); his great grandchildren, Deklin Kopp, Watson Shelton, Zoey Roach and Oliver Roach; his brother Tim Todd (Dianne) of Mooresville; his mother-in-law Margie Smoot; and his brother-in-law Greg Turner (Gay).
