It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Norene Deckard (Bedford, Indiana), who passed away on October 29, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Phillips and Edna Phillips (Stewart); her wife Opal Dale Deckard; and her siblings, Elmer, Harold, Robert Phillips, Lavonia Deckard and Norma Douglas.
She is survived by: her son Philip Dale Deckard (Sharon) of Bedford; her grandson Carey Dale Deckard (Janelle) of Bedford; her great grandchildren, Madelyn Grace Voorhies (Austin) and Meredith Elaine Deckard; and her sister Loretta Maddox of Bedford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to Hanson Cemetery Trust Fund.
