He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Anderson and Clara Williams Anderson; his daughter Judy Whalin; his grandson Jacob Whalin; and his siblings, Frank, Paul Anderson and Anna Blackwell.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jackson; his daughter Rita Mullen-Spence (Jim); his grandchildren, Shawn Whalin, Dustin Whalin, Andrea Mullen and Michael Mullen; and his sister Betty Ritchison.
