He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Hawkins (Elgan) and Clayton Hawkins; his siblings, Fred Hawkins, Shirley Campbell and Janette Hendricks; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Messel and Gerald Messel (Jerry).
He is survived by: his wife Marilynn Hawkins (Messel); his daughter Tamara Hawkins; his daughter-in-law Jenni Campbell Evans; his daughter Teresa Hawkins-Kessler; his son-in-law Robert "Bob" Kessler; and his grandson Ian Kessler.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard (3000 E 3rd St, Bloomington, IN 47401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
