With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert E Gilson of Bedford, Indiana, who passed away on October 30, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Gilson and Mary Gilson (Rainey); his wife Gretna Hillenburg; his son Mark Gilson; his grandson Devin Neff; and his siblings, Evelyn and James Gilson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon L. Neff of Louisville, KY and Vickie S. Melvin (Ronnie) of Zionsville, IN; his daughter-in-law Patty Gilson of Bedford; and his grandchildren, Derek Neff (Missy), Debra Jones (Jason), Melissa Melvin, Jeremy Gilson (Brandie) and Lucretia Gilson. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services in memory of Gretna Gilson.
