He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ignatius and Dorothy Mae Bowdren (Kramer); his brothers, James and Phillip Bowdren; and his sister-in-law Mary Joanne Grant.
He is survived by: his close friend Clarence "Clancy" Alexander of Bedford; his sister Barbara Detwiller (David) of Jeffersonville, PA; his nieces and nephews, Phil Jr., Kimberly, James II, Shannon Edward Jr., Shawn and Timothy; and his siblings-in-law, Stephanie Rexing (Tim) and Patrick Alexander (Kari). He is also survived by eleven great nieces and nephews.
