He was predeceased by: his parents, Clay Franklin and Grace Pate (Flynn); his spouse Fay Pate; his daughter Ramona Fay Allen; and his brother Melvin Franklin Pate.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Kay Rech (Michael) and Donald Ray Pate (Cheryl); his grandson Wade Daniel Allen (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Lilly and Chad David Allen (Megan); his sisters, Jewel Box and Wilma Jean Kelley; and also, Malachi, Silas, Zechariah, Christopher Ray Pate, David, Leland, Ryeitt, Brandy Nicole Colgan (Nate), Aaron, Abby, Caleb, Alyson Marie Eichel (Aaron), Samuel Michael Rech (Ashley), Spencer, Alyssa and Steven Taylor Rech. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pinhook Cemetery.
