He was predeceased by: his siblings, Fred, Ray and Dorothy Brock. He is survived by: his wife June Gilbert; his children, Su Lynn "Suz" Frederickson of Bloomington, Beth Mize (Larry) of Martinsville, Lezli Phallen (Gretchen) of San Diego, J. R. and Caron Minsley (Burke) of Boulder, CO.; his great grandchildren, Jack, Sloan Phallen, Beckett Mize, Evalyn and Felix Minsley; and his pet Roxie. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Due to Covid precautions, there is no visitation but an outdoor gathering where family can be greeted at the gravesite with a message by Rev. Scott, special music and military honors arranged by Day & Carter Mortuary.
