Phyllis L. Fortner Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis L. Fortner of Bedford, Indiana, who passed away on June 4, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Fry and Ruby Fry (Jackson); her husband Robert "Bob" Fortner; and her siblings, Esther Fry, Gerald Fry, Mary Etta Rainey, Morris Fry, Donna Hagan and David Fry.
She is survived by: her sons, Brad Fortner (Karla) of Bedford and Mark Fortner of Bedford; her grandchildren, Rachel Bunch (Dakoda) of Mitchell, Shelby Fortner (Isaac Slaughter) of Oolitic, Sam Fortner (Carrie Sharp) of Bedford and Silas Fortner of Bedford; her great grandchildren, Noah, Caroline, Rhylee Bunch and Charlotte Fortner; and her siblings, Meredith Fry of Chesterfield, Verna Sleighter of Bedford and John Fry of Indianapolis. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In honor of Lavon's generous hospitality and excellent cooking, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Bertha's Mission.
